Leading the Way in Conservation

APAC-Central is committed to biodiversity, conservation, and innovative, sustainable practices that strengthen the communities where we live and work. Several sites across Northwest Arkansas, the River Valley, and Southern Missouri have been recognized by the Wildlife Habitat Council (WHC) for their ongoing environmental efforts.

Gravette Quarry & Wildlife Management Area (Gravette, AR) has earned Silver certification for several consecutive years and recently achieved Gold certification for its work removing invasive plant species and supporting the natural regeneration of native trees. Flat Rock Creek Wildlife Management Area (Van Buren, AR) has also been recognized by WHC for its pollinator and grassland initiatives, including the planting of 50 trees, with an additional 110 trees recently added to expand these efforts.

Conco Companies’ Willard Quarry (Willard, MO) is WHC-certified, and Galloway Quarry (Springfield, MO) has received Silver certification for its work in seeding, invasive species control, and plant monitoring.

At the 2025 Tandem Global Conference—hosted by a nonprofit organization dedicated to preserving biodiversity, advancing sustainable development, and reducing environmental impact—APAC-Central was recognized with awards for Best Forest Management Project, Best Invasive Species Control Project, and second place in Mammals Management.

These efforts reflect APAC-Central’s ongoing commitment to responsible land stewardship and creating a lasting, positive impact on the environment.
